I am a PhD Candidate in Political Science at the University of California, Irvine.
My research focuses on nuclear weapons, US nuclear policy, Chinese foreign policy, and security issues in East Asia. I am currently researching how Congress intervenes in the formulation of US nuclear policy. My research aims to understand how the US tailors its nuclear force posture to meet foreign threats and explain the history of Congressional action to adjust US nuclear policy.
I received my BA in Political Science in 2015 from the State University of New York at Geneseo. After working in the healthcare and corporate compliance industries, I decided to return to academia to resume my study of political science and international relations. In 2020, I received my MA in Political Science from California State University, Los Angeles.
When I'm not writing, I'm often watching films or reading a book with a cat on my lap.
